The user can choose between 5 programs, which have been preset for treatment of different conditions. Each program uses different pulse frequencies and has different treatment session durations, as summarized in the table below. Variation of the pulse frequencies alters the depth of penetration of the laser light.

Terra-Dent Laser Clinic Manual Mode
In addition to the present programs shown in the chart above, the manual mode function enables the user to vary the functions for treatment of specific illnesses. The program or manual mode is selected after the TerraDent laser unit has completed the self-test by pushing the relevant program number or personal mode button.
Pushing the mode button enables the user to manually set individual treatment programs by varying the following parameters:

• Frequency – Number of intervals repeated during a particular session;
• Treatment duration per interval – from 1 to 10 minutes;
• Pulsing frequencies – 5-1000 Hz, 50 Hz, 250-1000 Hz, 1000 Hz.
• Removal/addition of modules by using the “<” or “>” buttons. There is a choice of IRL (infrared laser) or IR-SLD (infrared super luminous diodes), and you can choose power from OFF, 50%, or 100%.

After choosing the relevant variables, press the “mode” button again, and to begin the treatment, press the “Start/Stop” button.
